On the east and west sides of Terminal 2, outdoor gardens (the Korean Garden and Lawn Garden)
were created for passengers waiting to board. These gardens not only allow indirect natural light
to flow into the interior but also embody the concept of an "airport within a park," harmonizing

with nature. The Korean Garden on the east side showcases traditional Korean architecture
with a replica of the Seungjaejeong Pavilion from Changdeokgung Palace, crafted by heritage
restoration experts. Only the finest pine trees, carefully dried for over a year, were selected for the
pavilion. The Lawn Garden on the west side is an open space designed for various performances

and events, such as busking and exhibitions. Incheon Airport became the first airport globally to
provide an outdoor garden where passengers can relax and enjoy fresh air after clearing security.
