In terms of AI, it developed 9 software modules related to video, audio analysis,
          and learning while developing 8 modules including panorama view and parking

          ramp view in terms of AR. AR improves recognition by displaying taxiways in
          the case of low visibility, while AI assists control by checking readback matches
          and sending warnings when the aircraft goes off course, greatly improving
          navigational safety. Based on these technologies, IIAC began implementing the

          integrated smart control platform in June 2022 with a goal of completing it by
          March 2025.


          Improving aircraft communications environment:
          establishing flight information communications facility
          The flight information communications facility is mandatory for the safe
          navigation of aircraft, and quality communications are directly linked to airport
          safety. Phase 4 focused on resolving the existing communications issues and

          enhancing the safety of navigational traffic control. First, it created a dualized
          flight information communications facility. The 2nd transmitting station (39CH)
          replaces the whole frequency in case of failure of the first transmitting station to
          minimize damage and improve stability. An integrated transmitting station was

          built at Oseongsan to ensure smooth communications in the case of failure of a
          transmitting station, and the Best Signal Selection (BSS) channel was expanded to
          reduce interference and poor reception. It also upgraded the Voice Communication
          Control System (VCCS) and Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS).

          By separating VCCS from EVCS, the system could swiftly respond in the case
          of an emergency. It was also designed to prevent interference when a new digital
          transmitter/receiver is linked to the existing analogue transmitter/receiver IIAC
          also transitioned the communications method for controller-pilot from voice to

          CPDLC.
