In the end, it created a 620,000-square-meter MRO site including apron and taxiway in November 2023. In January 2024, the
                                                  MRO site was designated a Free-Trade Zone (FTZ), and the ground-breaking ceremony for the MRO Complex at Incheon
                                                  Airport was held on April 18. Construction officially begun on the MRO complex, capable of servicing cargo planes, led

                                                  by the Israeli state-owned company IAI. From October 2025, Incheon Airport’s MRO facilities will start overhauling and
                                                  maintaining cargo planes in earnest. Incheon Airport’s MRO facilities are expected to increase employment, revitalize the
                                                  economy, and strengthen Incheon Airport’s function as a hub, thus improving its international status.
