Integrating ICT to parking lots: implementing parking control systems
Alongside the expansion of parking facilities, parking control systems and traffic management equipment for new roads

were installed in the T2 short-term and long-term parking lots as part of the Phase 4 construction project. IIAC invested
approximately KRW 15.5 billion to build parking control facilities for the eastern and western T2 short-term parking lots
from May 2020 to late November 2022 and improved the payment system for parking fees. The system was upgraded to
an ICT-based payment platform to enable quick and easy payments and faster vehicle exits. Additionally, in July 2022, the

airport joined hands with Hyundai Motor Group through an MOU to introduce the CarPay service, allowing drivers to pay
conveniently from their vehicles without needing physical cards. This service was applied to all parking facilities at Incheon
Airport. The new system not only improved passenger convenience by easing parking congestion but also enhanced the
airport's ability to respond effectively to emergencies, such as COVID-19.
