Expanding the short-term parking lot:
          extending Transportation Center 2
Transportation Center 2, completed in October 2017, is a state-of-the-art multi-
modal transportation facility comprising a railway station, bus terminal, and
parking building. As demand for the short-term parking lot increased, parking
spaces occasionally became insufficient. Therefore, the original construction was

planned to allow for future expansions with ease. The parking lot was designed
to facilitate vertical expansion, enabling the gradual addition of parking spaces.
In the Phase 4 project, the short-term parking lot was extended as part of the
Transportation Center 2 expansion plan in line with Terminal 2 expansion. The

short-term parking lot expansion covered 87,391 square meters, with a total
investment of KRW 102.5 billion. Construction began in September 2019 and
was completed in November 2022. 2 stories were added to the existing short-term
parking lot, increasing the total number of parking spaces by 1,803.

IIAC incorporated several improvements identified through its experience
operating Transportation Center 2. Solar canopies were installed in the rooftop
parking areas to improve usability during rainy weather. A siphonic drainage
system and drainage channels were installed in each section to handle heavy

rainfall. To ensure easy access to the upper stories, a connecting pathway and
walkway were installed between the third- story ground parking lot and the
          departure-level curbside.
