Preparing for Phase 4 operations

As the almost 7-year Phase 4 project including the Terminal 2 expansion neared its
end, Incheon Airport started preparing for Phase 4 operations in October 2023. On
October 17, Incheon Airport held a presentation session to explain the roadmap

for Phase 4 operations and collected opinions from related authorities.
Incheon Airport intends to achieve the target of “providing the best class service
and stable airport operations from the start of operations” via thorough validation,
evaluation, improvement, and training for the operation of core facilities. It started

a comprehensive pilot operation in May 2024. The operation preparation plan
consisted of 254 tasks and 3,827 action items for 4 areas including construction,
operations, comprehensive pilot operations, launch preparation and evaluation. It
was designed to ensure perfect airport operations.
