Construction of Incheon Airport is
still underway

With demand for Incheon Airport expected to continue
growing, competing airports like Singapore’s Changi Airport,

Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok, Japan’s Narita, and China’s
Pudong are aggressively expanding their infrastructure,
including the completion of third independent runway systems
and terminal expansions, This has intensified the competition

for Northeast Asia's hub airport.
Considering the lengthy construction period of 8 to 10 years
required for airport construction, from design to completion,
the construction projects at Incheon Airport continue to prepare

for global airport competition and increasing demand, as well
as to drive the development of the national aviation industry
through network expansion.
