Making a green airport

Landscaping and building the interior
Building a “green airport” was one of the main themes of Phase 3, which was
highlighted in landscaping. Under the concept of an “airport that breathes, an
airport that offers resting places,” Phase 3 intended to create an eco-friendly
and sustainable airport within a park. To this end, the landscaping project was

conducted for Terminal 2, zones 1 and 2 of T2 access road, Transportation Center,
and auxiliary buildings. Zone 1 of Terminal 2’s access road is a gateway to the
world, and the project aimed to create a beautiful landscape with traditional
images. Zone 2 is divided into several sections, and the landscape was designed

considering vehicle speed. At the endpoint, near Transportation Center 2, Narae
Park was established, offering abundant greenery and an ecologically sustainable
environment.
