Building roads to

improve connectivity and

accessibility

Phase 3 landside facility
The Phase 3 landside facility construction project focused on the construction of
roads and railways to provide equitable transportation service with Terminal 1. To
this end, T2 access road was built to the north while roads and railways connecting
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 were built to the west. Construction started with the

connecting railway for Terminal 2 in 2013, followed by southern access road, T1-
T2 connecting road, improvement in airport entry junctions, roads and bridges
for T2 curbside, and finished with T2 access road in 2017. T2 access road has 6
to 8 lanes while T1-T2 connecting road has 4 lanes. The airport entry junction

and parking lots were improved considering future traffic demand and scalability.
Construction for curbside roads and bridges put an emphasis on design with the
landscape and traditional curves.
