Phase 2 opening to become The Phase 2 construction project, which began in 2002,

the world’s best airport entered its final stages in 2008. Just like the Phase 1 opening,
IIAC formed a task force to prepare for the Phase 2 opening,
committing itself to system integration tests and integrated
trial operations. A key focus of the Phase 2 opening was to
seamlessly integrate the new systems with the existing Phase 1

airport operation systems. To ensure smooth integration, IIAC
allocated sufficient time for trial operations and verified the
soundness of each system in stages.
