Advanced systems in Terminal 2
                                                Terminal 2 introduced a variety of advanced technologies. The security screening area was

                                                upgraded with a state-of-the-art smart security system, featuring CT X-rays and circular security
                                                scanners to enhance security and efficiency. The CT X-ray equipment, capable of 3D imaging,
                                                allows for precise screening and automatic detection of explosives without requiring passengers
                                                to remove electronic devices or liquids, unlike conventional X-ray systems. The circular

                                                security scanner provides an open and stable feel compared to traditional walkthrough detectors,
                                                improving passenger comfort during the screening process. Additionally, the Phase 4 project
                                                integrated the previously separate Phases 1, 2, and 3 command and control systems for a more
                                                stable security system.

                                                Advanced technology was also applied to the passenger boarding bridges, which connect aircraft
                                                to terminal gates. For the first time among global airports, Incheon Airport implemented a remote
                                                docking system, enabling remote-controlled operation of boarding bridges. Previously, each
                                                gate required on-site personnel to operate the bridges as aircraft arrived and departed. Now, with

                                                centralized remote control from the Terminal 2 control room, boarding bridge operations have
                                                become significantly more efficient.
