reinforced to protect field workers.
A new Baggage Operations Center (BOC) was also built and integrated with
the existing Phase 3 facility, expanding its scale. In the security screening
area, AI-based automatic detection technology was implemented, reducing

the detection time for explosives and prohibited items. Additionally, a
system was established that allows a single operator to simultaneously
screen items, increasing work efficiency, whereas previously 2 operators
were required.

The construction of Phase 4 BHS began in January 2021, with trial
operations starting in May 2024 and final completion scheduled for October
2025.
